I sat in an Orphanage in Jamaica

Playing with HIV Positive kids in Spanish Town, a little voice inside me said “this isn’t it.” As it had so many times before. Disillusioned, I trekked back home.

“It’s about how you are like a lighthouse, always searching far into the distance. But the thing you’re looking for is usually close to you and always has been. That’s why you have to look within yourself to find answers instead of searching beyond.”

— Susane Colastani

I had been searching for answers in my life. How do I find peace, happiness, purpose? What is my place in this world? I trudged to different places and countries but never could find my answer. Something was absent and this is all I knew to be true.

It was a YouTube Video by Tony Robbins…

…I was nonchalantly watching one day that gave me my world changing epiphany. The awareness that all my answers are within me. My odyssey was no longer about searching. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING for me is only my decision away.

It’s already within me, within you…

I want to be happy, so I am. Have inner peace, so I do. A purpose— I chose one. I didn’t need to search, I learned to listen— to myself. I learned how to live in today, dream & design my future and eradicate the assumptions and bias molded by my past. Dr. Joe Dispenza said it best when he said, Let your past life be your past life.

I made the choice to leave…

…my past in my past. Now I thrive, I don’t just survive. My life is what I want it to be. My business is flourishing into my dream. Why is this happening? Simple— it’s what I want. I made the decision to live my life this way. Everything you want is only a decision away.

If you leave you past, in your past.

On a Mountain overlooking Phoenix…

…that I climbed one day, I remember contemplating. All I wanted to do with my life was bring out the best in people.

I learned to live at my best, and now, for the rest of my life, that is the purpose I have chosen. Every day I get up and I live each day for that day, I miss nothing. I’ve learned to have a deep love for people. An unspeakable joy because I’m alive one more day. And a deep gratitude for the amazing opportunities and experiences that come my way— just today.

I live for today, I dream and plan my future, I leave my past in my past.

This is what I’m here to teach othes.

Why do I do what I do?

I know the inner struggle. I’ve danced to the tune of self-sabotage more times than I can write. I’ve chased dreams that seemed to be just out of reach no matter how fast I ran.

I’m a messenger now.

I’ve learned how to overcome that inner struggle.

Learned a new dance, one of self-fulfillment.

And I don’t chase dreams anymore, I breath life into them.

I find no more satisfaction in my life than when I watch someone’s eyes light up with the living understanding of the truth that I teach them.

When I see others have their Ah-ha moments that every and anything they want in their life is only a decision away. This makes me happy.

If this is what you want in your life, then…
